Noelle Pomeroy, PhD, LMHC

Dr. Pomeroy is a Clinical Sexologist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor who received her doctorate at the American Academy of Clinical Sexologists. She earned her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Florida and her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan. Dr. Pomeroy has done extensive research on women’s postpartum sexual problems. Dr. Pomeroy has served as a “sex expert” on several local radio and television programs as well as a columnist for Fox News Opinion.

Melissa Lee-Tammeus, PhD, LMHC

Melissa Lee-Tammeus is a wife, mother, doctor, counselor, and college professor. She has lived in the Jacksonville, Florida area for 16 years, originally hailing from Denver, Colorado. She has a Ph.D. in Humans Services, a M.S. in Psychology, and a M.S. in Mental Health Counseling. She is a member and weekly blogger for American Counseling Association. She is also a member of Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Issues in Counseling, Citizen Therapists, Equality Florida, and Open Path Psychotherapy Collective. She teaches a variety of psychology classes at the graduate level and is a certified rape crisis hotline counselor, a certified Clinical Trauma Specialist, and has worked in both private practice settings and residential treatment centers. Her specialties include LGB couples, transgender support, and trauma and grief.

Angel Kalafatis, Sex Educator

Angel Kalafatis (pronouns she/her; they/them) is a sex positive educator, sex and relationship coach, scientist, and activist. They are an MSPS (Master of Science in Psychological Science) graduate student and research sexologist at the University of North Florida. Their research focuses on sexual identity, orientation, and behavior, and stigmatized sexuality. They earned their undergraduate degree in English Literature with a focus on queer theory and completed a post-baccalaureate program in Psychology, also from UNF. Additionally, they are under supervision with the American Association of Sexual Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) to be a Certified Sexuality Educator. They are the creator of, a space dedicated to providing sexuality education for adults that is medically accurate, scientifically informed, and inclusive of all folks. They educate on a wide variety of topics related to sexual health and pleasure, but their specialties include sexuality and desire, risk awareness and consent, and the management of potentially concealable stigmatized sexuality (e.g., LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM, and consensual non-monogamy).
