Parents of Intersex Children – Support Group. Free!

C.A.R.E. Group is a free virtual support group for parents of children who were born intersex which means that they have anatomy that does not fit neatly into the “male” or “female” sex binary. This group was created to be a safe space to talk about the difficult decisions these parents have to make when it comes to child rearing, socialization, discrimination, medical needs, etc. and foster peer support and connection with other parents in similar circumstances. This can be a sensitive topic for many but this is a unique opportunity to share about your journey and find empathic support and community. This group is being run by Kameela George and Rosalyn Zacarias, both Registered Mental Health Counseling Interns specializing in addressing sexual health and wellness needs in the community. If you are interested or have any questions please send an email to Kameelag96@gmail.com. All participants will be scheduled for a pre-screening interview to make sure they are eligible and are a good fit for the group. Further resources can be provided if needed.
